Central Heating Installations
In need of a new central heating system? We've been carrying out central heating installations since we opened our doors over 15 years ago. Whether you're looking for a standard combi central heating system, unvented central heating or a conventional heating system — we can install new central heating systems to a professional level, leaving you with a safe, reliable and perfectly fitted heating system.
Our central heating engineers are registered Gas Safe and each covered by £2 million liability insurance, so you can rest assured that your property is covered from any damages that could potentially occur.
Central Heating Power Flushes
Over time, central heating systems can fill up with sludge, rust and other debris. In order to keep your central heating system working as best it can — and prevent it from breaking entirely — it's important to have it power flushed regularly. Power flushing cleanses your entire central heating system, including your pipes, radiators, coils and heat exchangers.
It's recommended to have your heating system power flushed every 5–6 years, but if you invest in a new boiler at any time you should have your system power flushed to ensure no sludge or rust from the existing pipework contaminates your new boiler. Boiler repairs will cost a lot more than a general power flush.
One-Off Central Heating Repairs
As well as our dedicated installation and power flushing services, Mere Green Gas & Plumbing provides professional repair jobs for central heating systems. Whether you need a pipe reattaching or replacing, or repairs making to any part of the heating system, our team is available on call 24/7, ready to respond rapidly to any central heating repair emergency you may have.
Central Heating Maintenance
When you have a new central heating system installed, it's important to keep on top of regular services and maintenance checks. A system can underperform if it's dirty or damaged, and leaving it unchecked can lead to large breakages — the cost of central heating repairs is significantly higher than that of a regular maintenance check.

Common questions
What is a power flush and do I need one?+
A power flush removes sludge and rust from your central heating system. Signs you may need one include cold spots on radiators, slow warm-up, or a noisy boiler. It's also recommended when fitting a new boiler to protect the warranty.
Can you fit smart heating controls?+
Yes — we install Hive, Nest, Tado and Worcester Bosch smart thermostats, including zoned multi-room setups.
How long does a new heating system take to install?+
A full system install in an average 3-bed home typically takes 3–5 working days, depending on radiator and pipework changes.
Do you fit underfloor heating?+
Yes — we're approved installers of Polypipe underfloor heating, ideal for kitchens, bathrooms and extensions.
